Millionaire mails

Thought for the day: What other people think of me is none of my business.

I get an average of 2-3 of these fraud emails these days, of people leaving funds in a bank, et al. But, this one really takes the cake. It comes from diplomatatdiplomate.net and goes:

“The people that they funds are being hold down here at John F. Kennedy Air Port New York. Mr. President has called for the release and we has only Three jets here for our services which he gave to us. It is very important that i hear from you as soon as possible. Besides, we are in a meeting with the NY. high officials in respect of the release of the funds. I wait for your call.

Now they have the Pres of the US of A and three jets involved as well. Talk of fertile imagination! LOL.

Which are the movies you just cannot resist, when they’re being shown, either on TV or on DVD? I’ve a number of them on the list. In this post, let me just mention 2 which were coming simultaneously 2-3 days back.

The first one- Kal Ho Na Ho. One of the few movies that can bring the hint of a tear to my eye, besides of course, lots of laughter courtesy the comic scenes, right from Kantaben to SRK teaching Preity how to smile by pulling her cheeks and telling her that she’s forgotten to smile.Everyone’s acting is superlative, to say the least, including the kids, specially the kid who plays Jia- sensitivity to elders comments is portrayed very nicely. And, the way she adds and subtracts from her dollhouse, based on people in her family, and SRK whom she considers a family member.

The other one- Khosla Ka Ghosla. If you’ve not seen this one, you don’t know what you’re missing. Honest. It’s almost like a real-life story, where the salaried Anupam Kher buys a plot of land, it gets grabbed by land sharks who want to sell it again to him. How they get the land back without paying anything, forms the crux of the story. Particular mention of Boman Irani, who plays the land grabber. After Munnabhai, I think this is his best movie-ing performance.

got such kind of mails many a times...but never did i read them...hehehe..!!!

and abt movies...Kal ho na ho is my fav too...its a beautiful movie...teaching us lot....especially how to live..n yeah...how to smile too..!!!

haha, you should edit it for them and send back. I have been winning millions in lotteries every other day.

I have a long list of movies that I'd love to watch again and again. HAve you watched the old movie, Dil apna aur preet parayee? It is one of my all time favourites.

  Hi all positive people.. a topic I often think over.. it's something which helped a lot in changing my thoughts towards the positive side (Again, learned via the Secret)... and, still does, in this always continual learning curve. ‘Vaandro udhto udhto gayo’( A flying monkey just went by)….a remark that gave me the first laugh of the day today. A sudden sound of a parrot-like screech coupled with something like hooves clickety-clacking on the vehicle-less road caused the tea guy at the tea stall ask ‘what was that’? and, a guy sitting nearby retorted thusly. I just tried imagining a flying monkey, and couldn’t help grinning away in the dark.(I still don't know what had caused the sound, btw) Life’s like that- if you keep your ears open, you can never have a dull moment. We had our Building’s AGM two days, back, at 730 PM, on the terrace. It was accompanied by a simple, catered dinner, since it’s also an annual get-together. The catering guy had set one table with the actual dinner, and the other one at a right angle, was slightly in the dark, so you could just about see something in the thalis(huge plates). Inventions and Discoveries

I'm really curious. Who invented the 'Va'. Or the 'Sha'. Or the 'Wi'. Or some such words. No, they're not some illnesses or prefixes. These are the words we invent when talking to people. I see the usage the max, specially in Baroda. Like: 1. Chai-Vaai peeni hai?(Want to have some Chai-Vaai?) 2. Naashta-Vaashta kar liya?(Did you have Naashta-Vaashta?) 3. Chutney-Vutney hai kya?( Is there any chutney-vutney?) 4. Lift-Wift nahin hai kya building mein?(Isn't there a Life-Wift in the building?) 5. Bombay-Wombay/ Dubai-Shubai kab jaa rahe ho ab?(When are you going to ....?) 6. Paise-Vaise milenge time pe ya nahin?(Will you get Paise-Vaise on time or not?) There are so many others I come across during the day, like, say speaker-veeker, phone-vone, kapde-vapde, dukaan-vukaan, that I have these rhyming words coming out of my ears, and, Arghhh!!
