Books

(Quip: I wouldn't be surprised if the above drawing was made by a kindergarten student)

Thought for the day: If at first you don't succeed...so much for sky-diving.

Over the last few days, I picked up both the prizes for which I'd won vouchers. Whew- I never knew it's so difficult to pick up things for free, until now. I mean, both the places are one of the 'cream of the lot' kind of shops(It sounds demeaning to call them shops..have a look and see why I say this).

Anyway,so, we ended up getting some nice books, and a Tshirt. Amongst the books, the one I'm excited about is' It's not how good you are, it's how good you want to be', by Paul Arden. Another one is 'The definitive book of body language'. Believe me, I need to brush up on these skills. It helps so much to know that a supplier is calling a bluff, if he puts his hand across his mouth while talking, or, if he tweaks his hair while standing, etc.

Suppliers reminds me, I have a post coming up on my experiences with this unique breed of people, one of these days.

Question of the week: Why do cockroaches die with their legs in the air? How do they turn over after they die?(One of nature's mysteries, I feel)..answers next time, if none of you answer.grin.

Speaking of dissectable creatures, I read recently that they've developed a transparent frog, which will make it easier for people to study and analyze. Ugh...I remember the days of Std XIIth and dissection of dead/live frogs as a practical in biology, something I always used to hate.(And, in the exam, I got the worst one-brain of frog.LOL). Can you imagine something similar happening in future with us-transparent humans..whew. The possibilities are unending...from fun to bizarre.:)

Want tips on how to spot a flirt? Just an extract from the article:Gestures and body language: Is the person smiling too often at you. And every time you catch him glancing at you, does he look away? If yes then the idea is definitely general merriment.
Want to read more? Check this out.
Err,I wonder whether this applies to bloggers and blogs, too? *Smile Smile*

End jokes:

Man: Is there any way for long life?
Dr: Get married.
Man: Will it help?
Dr: No, but the thought of long life will never come.

--

Mary went to the doctor complaining of body odor.
"Do you wash?" the doc asked the rank young girl.
"Oh, yes," Mary answered. "Each morning, I start at my head and wash down as far as possible. Then I start at my feet and wash up as far up as possible."
"Well," the doc concluded, "go home and wash possible."
---
Till next time, keep smiling.

thought for the day - funny as always :) || Congrats on all that prize-stuff! || I am curious as to why you deal with more suppliers than you do engineering work hehe... || So do the cockroaches lose their balance and turn over when they die or are they remembering God for one last time :P?
