Of foggy days

-Getting up early(530 AM to be precise) on a Friday holiday.
-Going for walk at 6 AM,and finding the streets enveloped in fog(I wonder whether mist is the same as fog?Must google and see).
-Walking fast, while the visibility's such that I could see barely 10 Metres in front of me.
-Straining eyes, wondering whether,a la our movies,a lovely apparition(real,rather..why apparition?) of a damsel would come floating out of the fog, with a smile on her face.(LOL-the imagination does run wild sometimes,I guess)...but,no such thing happened.Sigh!!:):)
-Going for a second round of walk at 730 AM.(It's a holiday,I restarted my weight loss diet, and, what better utilization of a holiday than this?)
-Fog cleared slightly. A tubelight or two,in an office in Bur Juman shopping mall in the distance, shines through the fog, even as the sun's rays are trying to pierce through the haze. Maybe, just maybe that was an indication of the silver lining in the clouds being visible?(As I've mentioned,I keep my eyes open, always, for these 'signals'.The next few days will tell.
-No apparition seen in this round,either.LOL.

No-one commented on the video bar on the side...one of the videos, has a few shapely legs showing-do see it-it seems there's an yearly'event' in NY and other cities-people board the subway and then just take off their lowers,i.e.trousers,skirts,etc.. It's hilarious-quite a stress buster of an experience it must be..but,of course, not for Mumbai's jam-packed locals. The local police stations would be too busy after, nee,if such an event ever occurred there.

Joke for the day:
A man finally got to the front of the line at the airline ticket counter only to notice someone had hung mistletoe over the baggage scale. He asked the cute clerk, "Is that so you can kiss all us customers?" She replied, "No. It's so you can kiss your suitcase goodbye!"

On their 35th wedding anniversary and during the banquet celebrating it, Tom was asked to give his friends a brief account of the benefits of a marriage of such long duration.
"Tell us Tom, just what is it you have learned from all those wonderful years with your wife?"
Tom responds, "Well, I've learned that marriage is the best teacher of all. It teaches you loyalty, forbearance, meekness, self-restraint, forgiveness and many great other qualities that you wouldn't have needed if you'd stayed single."
Till next time,keep smiling.
